Double Chocolate Brownies with Pecans

Double chocolate brownies with pecans or almonds!

  • 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup Sugar Twin® Stevia Granulated White Sweetener
  • 1/3 cup Sugar Twin® Sucralose Granulated White Sweetener
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup low fat buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate mini chips


Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare 8-inch square baking pan with non-stick spray. Set aside a square baking pan with non-stick spray. Mix melted butter and cocoa powder, then set aside to cool. In a mixing bowl beat the eggs with a hand beater or whisk for 30 seconds. Combine the sugar and SugarTwin®, flour, baking powder and the salt. Combine the egg mixture and stir. Slowly mix in the cocoa mixture, vegetable oil, buttermilk and vanilla. Mix well until blended, and stir in the chocolate chips. Pour the ready brownie mix into a  baking pan and bake for 18 - 22 minutes, or until a fork shows clean after inserting. Remove from oven and allow to cool 10 - 15 minutes before serving.
